On my way home I met an elderly man ( "I'm sixty" he said, but looked 40), who wanted to know the way to the post office. For some reason we spoke every other language we both understood (english, german, spanish, finnish, russian) but not both our mother tounge, swedish. And stating the hat I wore was bought in Dublin, he started singing Black Velvet Band to me, claiming my eyes shine like diamonds. Guess what song was stuck in my head the rest of the day...
Then on my way to work (whistling Black Velvet Band) I met a foreigner called Francis, and we talked for a while before I had to rush away, but as I was about to go, he shook my hand and looked at me and said:
"Take a moment, so that you won't forget me, and be scared when I later ask you to be my tutor" And then we laughed :)
At work (it was my first day as I was ill last week) and one of the children ( I teach word art to 9-12 year olds) said to me: "I like you much better than the other lady". I've always found myself inferior to her, as she has so much more experience than I, but apparently I'm not that bad.
Truly warms my heart.
And in half an hour I hope to see my boyfriend. So, considering the circumstanses, my life isn't that bad.
PS. FYL if you fake FML's
